The past week

Over the past week I was fortunate enough to cover a range of assignments including Hong Kong Disneyland's 5th anniversary, shooting general images at marine based themed Ocean Park, a story illustrating Hong Kong's use of electricity, a night at the Happy Valley racecourse, portraits with the Hang Lung ceo and finally a trip over to Macau to show the new Playboy club at the Sands Hotel. Here are some images from the assignments.

New Zealand v Australia

After not having shot much sport for the past 3 months it was a welcome sight to have New Zealand and Australia in Hong Kong for the rugby union game over the past weekend. Here are some tearsheets and images from the game.

Tropical storm Fanapi and the South China Morning Post

Yesterday on assignment I had the pleasure of doing some weather feature images as Tropical storm Fanapi moved over Hong Kong. I decided to go over to Tsim Sha Tsui with the idea of having the city skyline in the background and people with unbrellas. Its always interesting to see how a newspaper will use an image, I think a lot of the time the design and page lay-out will decide which picture is used and the crop (shape) of the chosen picture. Here are a few examples from images published on September 20, 2010 in the South China Morning Post, Hong Kong's largest English newspaper publication.
